I’ll set the scene for you. You’re a parent, and you’ve just walked into the room to find that your child has eaten a bunch of Halloween candy without permission. They still have some in hand and their face is covered in chocolate.

You ask “did you eat Halloween candy even though you weren’t supposed to?”

Child “no!”

You ask again “are you sure you didn’t eat the Halloween candy?”

Child turns it around on you “it isn’t even Halloween”

You continue “then what is that in your hand?”

“Daddy, who was that lady I saw you with the other day who isn’t Mommy? Does Mommy know her too?”

Meh. Everyone there was an asshole. The important thing is that the only one that was a justified asshole was Mueller.

Politics today is just elementary school playground fighting with tattle-tales and tantrums when things don’t go someone’s way. And I don’t know if it’s hilarious or disappointing that these people are old enough to be grandparents acting like petulant children.

At least when I was a kid I could settle differences with a Pokemon battle...

That’s what the D’s are trying to do, and failing miserably at.

Meanwhile the Republicans are just trying to play a game of “I don’t even need to prove you wrong, I just need to throw a whole bunch of crap out there to confuse everyone so nobody knows what’s up and down anymore…so being the lazy Americans the electorate is, we know they will just go along with whatever team they’ve been told they need to be supporting”.

That’s one hell of a re-election strategy, and it’s probably going to be effective :(
